about me
I’m a Postdoctoral Scholar in the Department of Immunology at Tufts University, Boston, MA. I have a BSc in Biology from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (2009), a MSc in Neuroscience from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (2011) and a PhD in Neuroscience from the Universidad Autonoma de Madrid (2016). All my life I loved drawing, specially about biology. This fact, in addition to my academic training, was the trigger of the idea of incorporating my illustrations hobby into my scientific career.

I am largely self-taught, so each project is a challenge for me. Most of my current work is 2D graphics (Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop) and I learn a bit more about the process with every project I do. Some of the most useful skills I took away from my PhD are critical thinking and being able to look at a problem from many angles, think about the model, ask questions, and go look things up in the literature.

My research work include immunology, microbiota, neurosciences and cardiology, among other side projects I’m a founding member of Asociación Con/Ciencia, a non-profit organization for science dissemination (popular science).

how do i work?
My production process has been greatly refined over the years. Taking advantage of my experience in research and popular science, I am able to generate truthful and easily understandable content. Each project easily flows from the first idea to finished product, starting with concept development and storytelling. I finish providing a top-quality product that helps to communicate key messages to the audience.
